Joseph Andrew Wilson the Saxophonist  aka JAWS the Artist has over twenty years in the business, after all the ups and downs of life, is now changing it up.  He attributes these changes to his journey and those around him.  During this pandemic and time of quarantine for COVID-19, Joseph still continued to bring hope with his music daily.  As of late, listeners consist of patrons and shop owners and their conversations are a testimony to who he is.  JAWS the Artist continues to engage with his audience. You can find him advising audio production in churches, performing at weddings and events, as well as busking in plazas around New England.

JAWS the Artist is educating local authorities, listeners, and owners about busking verses soliciting.  He has started a petition to encourage change in policies for musicians and more.  If you would like to show your support we can email you the information for the petition.

JAWS the Artist played his alto saxophone for several months in Boston, at Faneuil Hall.  Listeners would stop what they were doing to display their love and support or jam to his original melodies of his backing tracks. During the holidays, he also performed at the elegant yet packed B'Napoli's Restaurant.

JAWS the Artist has composed hundreds of tunes within various genres, which include, but not limited to; Jazz, Pop, R&B, Reggaeton, Latin, Funk, and Spiritual.  One listener stated, "after listening to Eric Dolphy and Gato Barbieri and a few other alto saxophonists, it is hard to describe Joseph's sound.  He has such a unique vibe.  Couple that with his exclusive production skills, you will not find melodies and chord progressions like his anywhere.  Not only does his music groove, makes us move, but he also loves to surprise his listeners too."

A few career highlights; Joseph Andrew Wilson was nominated for Producer of the Year for Gospel Independent Music Award and became the winner of the Urban Independent Music Award for Best Jazz Artist of the Year in 2005.  Then in 2008 through 2010 when Joseph worked with Happy Bullet Productions to score the soundtracks for two films Ping Pong and Electoral College.  His original piano and vocal composition 'Stay Right Here With Me' were chosen to be featured in the short film, Greenlit, a Sundance project.
